SH7012

SH7012 is a wall shelf in brushed stainless steel and the first object in the Bevel Series.

SH7012 was developed around the defining geometry of the Bevel Series: a continuous radius that connects the horizontal shelf to the vertical back without a hard transition. The curve is echoed in both the vertical surface against the wall and the horizontal shelf surface. This shared geometry gives the shelf its distinctive character.

The shelf is intentionally reduced to a few clear elements. Its proportions, the fine brushed surface and the way light moves across the steel do much of the visual work. Used on its own, it reads as a clean architectural line on the wall; with objects placed on it, it becomes a functional surface without losing its character.

Design and engineering were developed together from the beginning. Geometry, fabrication and finish are treated as parts of the same design rather than separate decisions. The result is an object that appears simple, but is considered down to how it is made and used.

Each SH7012 is produced in Denmark in small batches. After forming, every shelf is individually finished by hand, with the surface carefully sanded and polished to refine the steel and ensure a consistent finish, while allowing the material to be maintained and to age naturally through use.

Care & ageing

For everyday cleaning, wipe SH7012 with a soft, damp or microfiber cloth, following the direction of the brushed finish. For fingerprints or grease, use warm water with a small amount of mild soap, then wipe with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to reduce water marks.

Avoid steel wool, abrasive scouring pads, bleach or chlorine-based cleaners and harsh chemicals, as these can scratch or damage the stainless steel surface.

The brushed surface is made to be used, not kept visually untouched. Fine marks and subtle changes in sheen will naturally appear over time. Rather than detracting from the object, they gradually create a softer, individual surface character — a patina of use unique to each SH7012.
